Summer 2025 Theme: The Story!

Camp Lutherhaven

This year marks the beginning of Lutherhaven’s 80th summer of sharing life-changing stories—of campfires, cabins, friendships, and faith. But even more than the stories we tell about our camp experiences, we’re focusing on encountering the bigger story we’re all a part of: God’s story.

Hebrews 12:2 says, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” That means Jesus isn’t just a character in the story—He’s the one who writes it, carries it forward, and brings it to life. He gave His life for us, rose again, and now leads us by the Spirit with joy. The verse goes on to tell us the heart of the story of Jesus, “who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God”. It’s from there that the Spirit is sent with this great, Good News: God loves you, and your story matters to Him!
This summer we’ll explore some of life’s biggest questions together:
  • Who am I? — You are known and loved by God.
  • Where do I belong? — You belong in His family.
  • What’s my purpose? — You were made to live with love and courage.
We believe that God’s grace—the free gift of love in Christ Jesus—meets us right where we are, no matter our age or background. We don’t have to earn our place in God’s story, we’re already written into the pages by the Spirit and are assured a joyful ending in Jesus!

This summer, as we celebrate 80 years of camp ministry, we’re remembering and telling stories—but even more, we’re looking ahead. Because the story isn’t over. God is still at work, still writing, still calling us to follow Jesus—at camp, at home, and in everyday life.

Let’s continue to listen, to learn, and to live into The Story together!
