We Have Outdoor Education Programs Available All Year!
“Quality outdoor learning experiences for students, teaching a greater awareness of and appreciation for the natural world and each other.”
Winter
Tubing down frosty hills, looking at crystals under magnifying glasses, strapping on a pair of snowshoes for the first time, tracking animals in the snow, drinking cocoa by the fire and laughing over a silly skit ... all this and so much more occurs during the Winter Outdoor Education season (late January and all of February) at our site on gorgeous Lake Coeur d’Alene. For more information on activities offered, visit Downloads and Resources for the Winter Session Descriptor Sheet.
Spring
Looking at bugs in Shoshone Creek, digging fingers into a thick coyote pelt, learning to build a fire and survive in the woods, following a course with only your compass and brains, jumping into a group building challenge, laughing and roasting s’mores around the campfire . . . . all this and so much more occurs during the Spring Outdoor Education Season (Late April & all of May) at our site 29 miles up the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River in the Bitterroot Mountains of north Idaho, and at our Lake Coeur d'Alene facility. For more information on activities offered, visit Downloads and Resources for the Spring Session Descriptor Sheet.
Fall
Jump start group-building with your new classroom of students ~ a great way to kick off the school year! Join us for all the usual Outdoor Education activities, plus sessions tailor-made for “get-to-know-you” group-building! The creek is low in the fall and makes for a great stream study. Watch the leaves turn from green to gold, adopt a tree and learn its age and character, laugh and roast s’mores around the campfire ... all this and so much more describes our Fall Outdoor Education season (last two weeks of September and first week of October) at our site 29 miles up the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River in the Bitterroot Mountains of north Idaho, and at our Lake Coeur d'Alene site. For more information on activities offered, visit Downloads and Resources for the Fall Session Descriptor Sheet.
