Team Building and Challenge Course

Lutherhaven's professionally designed 15-element low initiatives course and 15-element high challenge course are among the best and most popular in the Inland Northwest; plus, our two-sided, 34-foot climbing tower and zip line are popular additions to Lutherhaven's facilities.

Shoshone Base Camp has a half-dozen low initiatives and a new 270-foot Zip Line, and the highlight there is the natural, 40-foot cliff face with a top-rope belay system and beginning to advanced climbing routes that challenge everyone's ability!

Both courses are available for school groups, sports teams, youth groups, and community and corporate organizations.

All of Lutherhaven Ministries’ challenge course programs are facilitated by the camp’s professional, trained staff. They're certain to ensure that your group has a safe, fun and meaningful experience, with discussion and de-briefings geared to meet your group goals and objectives.

Our low course includes elements that do not involve the use of safety ropes (belays) and are constructed near or on the ground. The safety system used in low elements is group spotting.

Favorite elements include the Whale Watch, Balanced Log, Spider's Web, Tire Traverse, Wild Woozie, and our Horizontal and Vertical Climbing Walls.

Some low elements are used to teach skills necessary to accomplish the high elements. The low course is great for developing your team building, cooperation, communication, trust, problem-solving and leadership skills.

We encourage a minimum of four hours for a low initiatives experience.

Fifteen of our elements take participants anywhere from ten to thirty-five feet off the ground!

Our medium and high courses use belay ropes as the safety system, and includes our two-sided 34-foot climbing tower with Zip Line.

The latest addition to Lutherhaven’s high course is the High Team Adventure Challenge, a string of eight elements especially designed for group use.

Lutherhaven’s high ropes elements are the finest of all at teaching self-confidence and the understanding of perceived risk. A heightened sense of trust, performance and character can be achieved through the use of high challenge course activities.

We encourage a minimum of four hours for a high initiatives experience. All high course events typically begin with certain key low course elements as an introduction to the day.
