Meet our Guest Speaker Jeff!

Jeff HaanenI grew up Lutheran in Plymouth, Minnesota and attended Valparaiso University with the ever dashing Nate Nolting. After graduation, my wife and I spent a year in Ecuador as missionaries and then I completed a Master of Divinity at Denver Seminary. I’ve been a pastor of a Latino congregation, worked in seminary administration, and now work as an administrator at a Christian K-12 school in Littleton, Colorado.
 
I’m passionate about the gospel and teaching both students and adults to lead like Christ: as a servant. For fun I like to write, train for triathlons, read, and spend time with my beautiful family. I’m married to Kelly, and we have two children, Sierra (3) and Lily (1), who are more than excited to spend a week at Camp Lutherhaven.

H2O Tour

Campers entering the 8th-10th grades!

Spend the week splishing and splashing through the Inland Northwest’s greatest water parks!  Travel to Silverwood’s Boulder Beach, Raptor Reef, and Idaho’s largest indoor water park, Silver Rapids! 3 days, 3 different waterparks, 2 nights at area campgrounds, and one full day at Lutherhaven playing, tubing, and swimming on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Guaranteed to be a splash!
Note: This is a travel and tent camp program and all campers will be staying and sleeping in tents.

Sailing Camp

Campers entering 7th-9th grades!

Dates: Junior High 7-9th grade (June 17-22)
Rate A: $387/ Rate B: $330/ Rate C: $293

New Format! Climb aboard and spend the week sailing on beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene! Learn to sail our fleet of sailboats for the first part of the week, sailing back to Lutherhaven at night, with a long overnight sailing trip towards the end of the week.  Come sail, camp, cook-out, and experience God’s awesome creation! 
Note:This is a tent camping program; all campers sleep out in tents.

Wake on the Lake

Campers entering 7th-9th grades!
Dates:  Junior High 7th-9th Grade (July 29-August 3)
Rate A: $408/ Rate B: $351/ Rate C: $314

Spend the week behind our boat on the lake! Tent out in the Lutherhaven campground by night; catch waves tubing, boarding and skiing the lake by day! 
Note: This is a tent camp program and all campers will be staying and sleeping in tents.

The True Cost of Camp and Our Tiered Pricing Structure

        Lutherhaven Ministries believes all campers should have the opportunity to attend camp. We know camp families have differing abilities to pay, so we’re offering a voluntary reduced tiered pricing program to better meet all financial needs.  Based on your feedback, we have created a three tiered system allowing campers to self-select the rate that works best for your family's situation.  
        Choose the cost you can afford! Reduced pricing doesn’t affect the quality of the camp experience a child receives; it simply shows you the true cost of a Lutherhaven program and gives families the ability to decide how much they can afford toward camp. The level you choose is up to you. Please consider selecting the highest price your family can afford; this way you’re paying the true cost of camp…and helping other kids learn about Jesus in the midst of God’s creation!
On each camp’s description page you will find three different camp prices.

Rate A:  This rate most accurately reflects the “true cost” of your child attending camp.  
Rate B: This rate is slightly subsidized to help families that need a little extra support to make camp affordable for them.  
Rate C:  This rate is a subsidized rate; This price is subsidized through fundraising, special events, and sustaining contributions from camp supporters.
