An outstanding outreach from your congregation to your community!
Each summer Lutherhaven sends our popular Community Day Camp program to more than 35 congregations throughout the Inland Northwest!
Day Camps are provided by Lutherhaven Ministries to congregations wishing to supplement their summer children's program with a week of "bringing camp to church".
Lutherhaven sends out teams of up to four camp staff to conduct a five-day program of fun games, great camp songs, youth Bible studies, worship, crafts, archery, and more.
We provide the team, the curriculum, the activities the crafts...the whole program!
The congregation provides housing and hosting for the team, some supplies, plus volunteers to work with our team that help to make it a great week of building relationships within your church.
Camp staffs are also available to do special evening programs and youth or family events with your congregation. The team arrives Sunday afternoon/evening and runs the program at the congregation from Monday through Friday. Available weeks are mid-June through mid-August.
We facilitate nearly 40 Day Camps each summer across three states, each one custom-designed to fit the many needs of our congregations!

Fees
The cost for Day Camp 2010 is the same as 2009: just $1,225 for up to 25 youth. A non-refundable deposit of $300 reserves your week. Each additional youth is $1.75 each per day. Finally, we charge the standard federal IRS mileage rate--currently 50 cents per mile--between your congregation and camp.
(Those fees only partially cover Lutherhaven's expenses for bringing Day Camp to your congregation and community. The fees together cover staff and payroll taxes, crafts and other direct expenses, and mileage from Lutherhaven. Vehicle expenses and overhead are subsidized by the camp!) | |

Remember! The Voluntary Disclosure Statement is the minimum background check requirement for ALL Day Camp volunteers! You are required to run applicible background checks on all volunteers working with children, as per your state's laws! |
